Most of us prefer to use natural solutions rather than harsh chemicals and mysterious pharmaceuticals. Ginseng has long been used as an herbal remedy for numerous ailments in Eastern medicine. While many Wester scientists point to a lack of hard evidence, a number of studies have shown this modest herb to have many potential benefits.
So, if it's really that wonderful, can ginseng clean your system for a drug test? What can you realistically expect from it, and what other natural solutions are there?
What can you expect from ginseng?
Ginseng is credited with many positive effects that include increasing energy, preventing cancer, lowering cholesterol, and even treating erectile dysfunction. What it's not promoted as, though, is a way to clean your body. So can ginseng clean your system enough for a drug test? Probably not.
If people claim to have beaten the system this way, there's probably another explanation. Many people actually get false negatives on drug tests. In other words, they actually pass the drug test when they should, by all rights, fail. Another explanation could be that they drank copious amounts of water with the ginseng, and this had enough of a dilution effect to get them through the test. This approach is very haphazard, however, so we would never recommend using it.
On the positive side, ginseng won't have any negative effects on your drug test. It's unlikely to trigger any false positives, so feel free to continue using it in appropriate doses.
Are there other natural alternatives to ginseng?
There are plenty of other herbs that have been traditionally used for cleansing the body. In the folksy lore of yesteryear, they referred to it as "blood cleansing." Herbs like milk thistle and burdock root can boost liver function and therefore help your detox. The easiest way to take herbs like this is to get a course of supplements that's specially formulated for a detox.
Even with the best supplements, though, a natural detox takes time, especially when it comes to the THC from marijuana.
I need a detox solution now. What can I do?
Even if you don't have the time to let your body detox itself, you can still find solutions made from natural ingredients. Most detox drinks are made entirely from harmless natural ingredients. There are no harsh chemicals, and more importantly, there's nothing that would stand out on a drug test.
Detox drinks are not intended as a way to instantly clean your body, because that's impossible. Their purpose is to stimulate your urinary system into cleansing itself. This reduces the concentration of toxins in your urine, drastically reducing the chances of anything showing up on a urine drug test.
When selecting a detox drink, make sure you pick one suitable for your body weight and level of use. If you feel you may need extra help to pass, you can get special detox kits that pack a little extra punch. As with any detox product, make sure you always follow the directions closely.
