To avoid the consequences of failing, you may be tempted to just make your own homemade urine for a drug test. After all, how hard can it be? Is it something that an average guy (or gal) can do? Or are there better
ways of passing a drug test?
Can you make homemade urine for a drug test?
If you're some kind of Walter White with mad chemistry skills, the right equipment, and access to materials, you could probably make something that resembles real urine, maybe even well enough to fool both the supervisor and the drug test. If this is you, you won't need any help from us, so good luck.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of people won't fit this description. It's simply not something you can whip up from household ingredients. What's more, it's getting harder and harder to get away with using even good quality synthetic urine.
Reasons not to use homemade urine for a drug test
There are two main arguments against using synthetic urine these days:
- Adulterant tests have evolved to detect many synthetic urines.
- Stricter supervision is becoming more commonplace.
The adulterant test checks for the presence (or absence) of various compounds to ensure the sample is real, free from masking agents, and undiluted. Unless you get the pH, specific gravity, and chemical balance just right in your homemade urine, your test will be invalidated.
Supervised drug tests are also getting stricter as labs try to prevent people from subbing not just synthetic urine but also real urine from other people. In the past, you could expect a modicum of privacy by being allowed to pee in a cubicle after emptying your pockets, which enabled you to hide fake pee in other places like your underwear. Nowadays, you may be asked to pee as someone watches. What's more, to make sure you're not using a whizzinator or other device, they may even ask you to lower your underwear to your knees and lift your shirt over your naval.
In short, there are serious risks to using homemade urine for a drug test. Even if you get some real urine from someone you know is clean, it's only really a good idea for unsupervised tests.
Other ways to pass a urine drug test
The good news is that there are other ways of passing a urine drug test. If you have the time, a 7-day detox program should be enough for many people, although some chronic users of drugs like weed, coke, or benzos may need to either spend more time detoxing or use a temporary detox.
These temporary detoxes come in the form of detox drinks and detox pills. After using one of these products, your urinary system rapidly (over an hour or two) flushes itself clean of toxins. Of course, new toxins will tend to accumulate in your urine, because this is, after all, the main purpose of urine, but the concentrations should remain below the cutoff threshold for a drug test for a few hours.
