If you smoke weed daily, it's highly likely that you'll have elevated levels of THC in your body. THC has a relatively long half-life, and what's more, it can also be stored in body fat. This means as a daily user, you've been steadily accumulating THC in your body.
Clearly this is going to make it way more challenging to pass a drug test, but what about using Sure Jell or Certo? Can you use jello to pass a weed urine test if you smoke daily? What about detox drinks?
What are Sure Jell and Certo?
Sure Jell and Certo are baking ingredients that are used in cakes, jellies and jams. Their primary ingredient is fruit pectin, which is a soluble fiber. There's a common misconception that the pectin "coats" the inside of the bladder and stomach, blocking THC from entering the bladder and therefore the urine. This is definitely not the case, however.
A more logical theory talks about how the pectin binds with bile in the intestines. First, the body makes bile to bind to ingested fat. Now, THC is fat-soluble, so if the pectin binds with bile that contains THC, it will carry it out the body through your poop. What's more, it also makes you poop more, accelerating the process.
It all sounds great in theory, but is there any practical value to it?
Can you use jello to pass a weed urine test if you smoke daily?
Despite the appealing logic and positive reports from some users, we're going to say no. It's doubtful that the above mechanism will make a measurable difference, especially not for a daily user. If anything, it may be the ample Gatorade that you need to drink with it that's having a slight effect through dilution.
So, why do so many people swear by it? Well, it's probably the case that they would have passed their drug tests anyway. Maybe they were very close to passing already, and the dilution effect just made enough of a difference. What's more, false negatives can and do often occur, so some users may have attributed their success to the jello method.
We do not recommend using this method on any important drug test. If you insist on trying it anyway, at least do a 7-day detox first to get as much weed as possible out of your system.
What about detox drinks?
If the jello method won't work, what about a high-strength detox drink? These drinks are specially formulated to help pass drug tests, but they're also not a magic bullet.
As a daily weed user, you need to recognize that your body is awash with THC. Relying on a detox drink alone might therefore be a little risky. To increase your chances, you can get a two-stage kit with a testing device. However, we strongly recommend staying away from weed and any other drugs (even over-the-counter ones) for at least a couple of days before your test, although longer is always better.
