If you've been looking for a detox drink to get through a drug test, you might have heard about Strip NC (Natural Cleanser). There are so many detox drinks on the market, so let's see how Strip Detoxifier stacks up against the rest.
About Strip NC
A company called Covert Labs makes Strip NC. Its website is a little sparse now, so much of the information comes from other sources.
Looking at the ingredient list on the bottle, we see the usual detox drink components, such as plenty of B-vitamins and creatine. The bottle also prominently declares the use of Psyllerol, a proprietary blend of carbohydrates, vitamins, and psyllium. Psyllium husks are a concentrated source of fiber, so this might help a little.
Under the ingredient list, there's a warning that it contains cascara sagrada and should not be used if you have diarrhea, loose stools, or abdominal pains. Cascara sagrada stimulates bowel movements by drawing water into the bowel. This is fairly unique, but it's not clear how this helps pass a urine test.
Using Strip Detoxifier
The instructions on the bottle are a little vague, but like other detox drinks, it's probably meant to be used a couple of hours before a drug test. Some reviewers suggest buying a second one for the night before as well.
The instructions simply say to drink the contents and urinate frequently. Further hints suggest drinking plenty of water, within reason, and not eating for three hours before using the drink. There's probably a reason for this, which we'll give later.
Strip NC Reviews
Looking at the reviews on Amazon, feedback is evenly split. Some say it works like a charm, some say it does nothing and tastes awful into the bargain.
Looking at people's comments on forums, we see why the instructions say to avoid eating. Apparently, if you do eat before taking the drink, you'll be shitting all day long. This is no doubt an effect of the cascara sagrada. Taking a laxative when you're not constipated will inevitably send your bowels into spring-cleaning mode. The idea is probably to flush all the toxins out of your bowels as well as your urine, so they can't reenter the bloodstream. Note that you'll need to drink extra water, because you'll lose extra fluid through your bowels.
Some other users report it's unusually thick and very hard to drink. This is probably because of the psyllium making it "thicker." Taking a thin detox drink with a separate fiber capsule might be a better way.
The biggest difference with other detox drinks seems to be the laxative action of the strip detoxifier. Many people probably won't have a problem, but some people might find themselves permanently stuck in the washroom. It's not clear if this really helps pass a drug test, so it's up to you if you want to take the risk. Another major difference is the use of psyllium. This may help, but it has the down side of making the drink very "thick."
Another thing to consider is the guarantee. Covert labs does offer a guarantee, but it'll only give you another replacement product from its range. A money-back guarantee would be much better, like the one on the QCarbo drinks.
