Hydrogen peroxide is a very useful substance to have around the house. It has many uses, but is passing drug tests one of them? Here's a guide to some of the suggested ways to use hydrogen peroxide for a drug test.
Hydrogen peroxide and saliva drug tests
You can use a mix of hydrogen peroxide with water as a mouthwash, and some say this will help pass a saliva drug test. While this may be great at killing germs in your mouth, there's no argument to say it will clear away drug metabolites. What's more, doing it excessively may damage your teeth. If people do claim success with it, it's probably because saliva drug tests are very bad at detecting non-recent weed use. If you're a weed user and it's been over 24 hours since you last smoked, you should be fairly safe for a saliva test.
If you've been using other drugs, though, you may want to consider a different approach. Using a detox mouthwash should see better results, because this is created for saliva drug tests. It's simple and easy to use just before the test itself.
Hydrogen peroxide and urine drug tests
One of the more ridiculous myths is that you can dip your finger in hydrogen peroxide before your drug test. When you later give a sample, you dip that finger in your urine sample, as if it is going to "kill" the drugs.
It's actually not as crazy as it seems, but it's still not going to work. You would need at least industrial-grade hydrogen peroxide, which you won't find at your local drug store, and a mere fingertip isn't going to do the job. What's more, even if you did manage to get hold of it, the pH of your urine would be way off, causing you to fail the adulterant test.
Fortunately, detox drinks provide a more reliable way to get through urine drug tests. By flushing your urinary system while preserving the urine's natural qualities, detox drinks ensure the actual sample will have lower levels of toxins while avoiding detection.
Hydrogen peroxide and hair drug tests
With hydrogen peroxide's cleaning qualities, another suggestion is to soak your hair in hydrogen peroxide prior to a hair drug test. This is supposed to strip the hair without causing significant bleaching.
Like with urine drug tests, though, the 3% hydrogen peroxide solution you can buy for home use probably isn't going to do much, if at all. Even if you could get hold of the 35% industrial-grade stuff, you would never want to put it on your hair.
A detox shampoo will be a far more effective way to prepare for a drug test. It is used much like a normal shampoo, although there are three stages, and you need to leave it to set for a while at each stage. You may also want to avoid any kind of recontamination before your drug test as well.
